Computational Pathology Group develops ASAP, an open-source platform for viewing, annotating, and analysing whole-slide histopathology images, widely used in computational pathology and medical research.
This animated video explains what ASAP is, how it works, and how researchers can use it to explore, annotate, and analyse large-scale pathology images, breaking down complex technical functionality into a clear, structured visual workflow accessible without prior expertise in digital pathology tools.
Project Use & Impact: The video was used for onboarding new users, academic training, and software outreach, helping researchers and clinicians adopt the platform and understand its capabilities for computational pathology applications.
Key challenge: Communicating specialized research software functionality to both technical and non-specialist audiences in the medical and academic communities.
